6 out of 11 COVID-19 Cases in Gangnam-gu Have Unknown Infection Routes

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] From the afternoon of the 5th to the 6th, 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases (Nos. 1584 to 1594) occurred in Gangnam-gu.

Cases 1584, 1586, 1588, and 1591 were each confirmed through contact with confirmed cases from other regions; case 1585 was detected through an entry test; and cases 1587, 1589, 1590, and 1592 to 1594 were confirmed due to symptoms such as headaches. However, since their infection routes are unknown, epidemiological investigations are underway.

Jeong Soon-gun, the district mayor, stated, "The principle of infectious disease response is 'early detection, early containment.' We ask all residents to visit the Infectious Disease Control Center or temporary screening clinics for testing if they experience even slight abnormal symptoms."
