[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL delivered a sponsorship fund of 100 million KRW to the Heart Heart Foundation on the 6th at its headquarters in Mapo-gu to support the operation of the 'Heart Heart Orchestra,' composed of individuals with developmental disabilities. The sponsorship fund delivery ceremony was conducted in strict compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
S-OIL's sponsorship fund will be used to support music education for adolescents with developmental disabilities, as well as disability awareness education for elementary, middle, and high school students and citizens, and the Sunshine Sharing Concert.
An S-OIL official said, "The harmony achieved by the members with developmental disabilities after long practice was beautiful and moving," adding, "S-OIL will continue to support so that the members have opportunities to communicate with society confidently through music."
The 'Heart Heart Orchestra' is the first orchestra for individuals with developmental disabilities in Korea, founded in 2006 to help develop talents and promote social participation of disabled youth. S-OIL has been sponsoring since 2009 to contribute to improving public awareness of disabilities, and over the past 12 years has provided a total of 1.1 billion KRW through ▲ hosting 29 Sunshine Sharing Concerts ▲ supporting disability awareness education 'Heart Happy School' ▲ scholarships for 211 performers with developmental disabilities.
