‘U+Golf’ to Broadcast 2021 KLPGA from the 8th
Complete UX Overhaul... Service Usage Analysis and Extensive Reflection of Customer Experience Group Feedback
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG Uplus announced on the 6th that it has revamped its golf service platform ‘U+Golf’ and will broadcast the 2021 KLPGA tournament, which opens on the 8th.
U+Golf is a golf service platform where users can watch live broadcasts of golf matches, check schedules and information for each tournament, and enjoy golf lessons and entertainment content through the mobile app and IPTV service ‘U+tv’. It offers various contents and features for golf enthusiasts, including ▲exclusive broadcasts of popular players ▲close-up swing videos ▲3D course broadcasts ▲replays of previous holes.
This season, the ‘user experience (UX)’ was completely revamped by extensively reflecting the analysis results of U+Golf customers’ usage patterns and feedback from the customer experience group. From the KLPGA opening tournament on the 8th, U+Golf customers will be able to see ▲a simplified home screen ▲a fixed menu with improved intuitiveness, and ▲newly available vertical and mini player functions.
The biggest feature of the renewed U+Golf is the first screen, which makes content exploration more convenient. Customers can immediately watch content of high interest according to their preferences, such as live exclusive broadcasts, new original entertainment, and the latest tournament videos. The card-type user interface (UI) for each menu allows easy access to representative content in each category. Additionally, related information such as video summaries and lesson keywords is provided to reduce the difficulty of choosing content.
The fixed menu at the top of the service was made more intuitive so that it can be easily understood without separate explanations. Related content is grouped under easy-to-understand labels such as KLPGA, Players, Lessons & Entertainment, and Events. In particular, the KLPGA menu allows users to select videos and information by round for each tournament. The new features, ‘vertical player’ and ‘mini player,’ are also noteworthy. They enable free navigation even while watching videos, enhancing the convenience of content viewing.
Furthermore, LG Uplus is running an event to predict the winner of the first tournament in celebration of the U+Golf service revamp and the 2021 KLPGA opening. Those who predict the winner of the opening tournament by the 10th can enter a drawing to win various golf goods.
