On the 2nd, Coupang announced that it will run the "'Rocket Delivery Products Unconditional Free Shipping' campaign for a limited time." This campaign was planned to reduce consumers' shipping cost burden.
According to a customer survey conducted by Coupang, 88% of consumers responded that they are sensitive to shipping costs, checking the shipping fee before confirming a purchase. 76% of consumers said they have hesitated to buy due to shipping costs.
Accordingly, Coupang decided to provide benefits of 'unconditional free shipping for Rocket Delivery products over 19,800 KRW' and 'unconditional free shipping for Rocket Direct Purchase products over 29,800 KRW' even without subscribing to Wow membership, so customers can experience worry-free shopping regarding shipping fees.
The free shipping benefit is available during the event period without a separate application. It applies to all products marked with Rocket Delivery, Rocket Wow, and Rocket Direct Purchase badges. The event is held regardless of Wow membership subscription, and the target customers and period may change without prior notice. Coupang hired singer 'Bi (RAIN)' as a model to produce an advertisement video to promote the campaign.
