Release of Two New Products and One Limited Edition Product from Centurion Design
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Samsung Card announced on the 1st that it has launched three products with the 'American Express Centurion Design' and is holding events such as giving away Centurion Design goods to commemorate this.
The Centurion Design of the American Express card in the U.S. features the face of a Roman army centurion, as the name suggests, and is widely recognized as a symbol of credit cards, even being used as illustrations related to credit cards in various U.S. publications. In Korea, personal cards can be issued through Samsung Card.
Samsung Card newly introduced the 'American Express Platinum' and 'American Express Reserve' and is offering the 'American Express Gold (Rose Gold Edition)' as a limited edition. All three products come with a metal plate as a standard feature.
The American Express Platinum is a premium card with an annual fee of 700,000 KRW, offering global premium lifestyle benefits. It provides gift services such as a 500,000 KRW discount at luxury hotels, 100,000 KRW discount on overseas and department store purchases, and free metal plate issuance, along with point accumulation benefits ranging from a basic 1% up to 5% depending on the category. Additionally, cardholders can enjoy international brand benefits such as 'Digital Priority Pass' and free access to domestic airport lounges.
The American Express Reserve includes contactless benefits such as online shopping, overseas direct purchase, and streaming, with an annual fee of 150,000 KRW. It offers gift services including free metal plate issuance and point accumulation benefits from a basic 1% up to 5% for online shopping and overseas purchases. It also provides 30% discounts on streaming, coffee, and delivery apps. Furthermore, 'Digital Priority Pass' and free domestic airport lounge access are available.
The American Express Gold (Rose Gold Edition) is a special limited product of the existing American Express Gold, available for six months from March 31 to September 30. It features a rose gold-colored metal plate and offers specialized benefits related to overseas travel and leisure. The annual fee is 300,000 KRW, and the metal plate issuance fee is 60,000 KRW.
To commemorate the launch of the Centurion Design products, Samsung Card is holding an event until the 30th. During the event period, the first 3,000 customers who apply for the event, issue a card, and spend over 1,000,000 KRW by the end of May will receive Centurion Design goods on a first-come, first-served basis. American Express Platinum and American Express Rose Gold customers will receive a metal name tag featuring their card design, while American Express Reserve customers will receive playing cards. Additionally, new members will receive cashback benefits of up to 100,000 KRW on their annual fee depending on their spending.
The three American Express Centurion Design products from Samsung Card can be issued through Samsung Card’s website and application (app) and other online channels.
