Up to 47,000 KRW Discount per Month When Using Large Marts and Online Shopping
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 1st that it has launched the 'KB Kookmin Happiness Card,' which integrates social service voucher functions such as daycare center childcare fees, preschool tuition, and pregnancy and childbirth medical expenses, and also offers discount benefits when used in daily life sectors such as shopping and education.
This card features the ability to use voucher services provided by the existing 'Child Happiness Card,' which supports childcare fees and preschool tuition for children under 5 years old, and the existing 'National Happiness Card,' which supports pregnancy and childbirth medical expenses, all on a single card.
Additionally, all cardholders are provided with free group insurance enrollment benefits related to public transportation accidents and diagnoses of placental abruption and pregnancy toxemia. Furthermore, discounts of up to 47,000 KRW per month are offered depending on the previous month's usage amount when using major daily life sectors such as ▲shopping ▲education ▲telecommunication fees and automatic payment of apartment management fees.
If this card is issued as a credit card and the previous month's usage amount is 400,000 KRW or more, a 5% discount of up to 20,000 KRW per month on payment amounts is applied in shopping sectors such as ▲large supermarkets (Emart, Lotte Mart, Homeplus) ▲online shopping malls (Auction, Gmarket, 11st) ▲home shopping (CJ Home Shopping, GS Home Shopping, Hyundai Home Shopping). In education sectors such as kids cafes, cultural centers, and study materials, a 5% discount on payment amounts is also available within a monthly limit of up to 20,000 KRW.
The discount benefits for shopping and education sectors are provided as follows based on the previous month's usage amount: ▲up to 5,000 KRW per month for 400,000 KRW or more ▲up to 10,000 KRW per month for 800,000 KRW or more ▲up to 20,000 KRW per month for 1,200,000 KRW or more. For telecommunication fees (SK Telecom, KT, LG Uplus) and automatic payment of apartment management fees, a 5% discount on payment amounts is applied up to ▲3,000 KRW per month for 400,000 KRW or more ▲5,000 KRW per month for 800,000 KRW or more ▲7,000 KRW per month for 1,200,000 KRW or more.
For check cards, a 5% discount on payment amounts is applied up to 5,000 KRW per month depending on the previous month's usage amount when used in hospital sectors, and a 5% discount benefit is also available within a monthly limit of up to 5,000 KRW in three education-related sectors: ▲kids cafes ▲cultural centers ▲study materials.
Card issuance applications can be made at ▲KB Kookmin Bank branches, KB Kookmin Card ▲website ▲mobile application ▲customer center ▲branches. Both credit cards and check cards have no separate annual fees.
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Card will provide cashback benefits to a total of 618 customers who use this card for 200,000 KRW or more during April through a lottery, including ▲2 million KRW stroller purchase support fund (3 people) ▲500,000 KRW childbirth preparation kit purchase support fund (10 people) ▲200,000 KRW play equipment set purchase support fund (20 people) ▲100,000 KRW daycare facility attendance kit purchase support fund (30 people) ▲30,000 KRW childbirth and childcare product purchase support fund (555 people).
