[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] It has been reported that Yoon Cheong-ja, a bereaved family member of the Cheonan ship, who attended the recent '6th West Sea Defense Day' memorial ceremony, voiced criticism to President Moon Jae-in and his wife Kim Jung-sook. Despite increasing security threats from North Korea, such as the Cheonan ship attack and missile provocations, President Moon's North Korea policy is criticized for not being tough enough.
On the 1st, Mrs. Yoon revealed in an interview with the 'JoongAng Ilbo' that during the memorial ceremony held last month at the Navy 2nd Fleet Command in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, she pushed away Mrs. Kim when she tried to embrace her and expressed harsh words.
According to Mrs. Yoon, Mrs. Kim tried to speak to her during the memorial service. When Mrs. Kim attempted to hug her, Mrs. Yoon said, "I dislike President Moon," and criticized, "What is there to be so scared and afraid of that you hide the fact that North Korea fired missiles? North Korea launched missiles again just yesterday."
Mrs. Yoon also claimed that President Moon did not clearly mention the perpetrator of the Cheonan ship attack. She said, "The president only said, 'Our government's position remains unchanged,' but did not say 'North Korea's act.'"

President Moon emphasized efforts for dialogue with North Korea during the 'West Sea Defense Day' ceremony on the 26th of last month. He stated, "Now is the time for South Korea, North Korea, and the United States to all strive to continue dialogue," and stressed, "Anything that hinders the atmosphere of dialogue is never desirable."
Earlier, it was confirmed that North Korea launched two projectiles presumed to be ballistic missiles into the East Sea on the morning of the 25th.
Regarding this, President Moon said, "I am well aware of the great concern among the people about North Korea's missile test launches," and emphasized, "While adhering to the principle of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, we possess world-class missile capabilities sufficient to defend ourselves."
Meanwhile, Mrs. Yoon had previously approached President Moon at the '5th West Sea Defense Day' ceremony last year and asked an unexpected question, "Who is responsible for the Cheonan ship sinking?"
At that time, she appealed to President Moon, saying, "Please tell me whether this was North Korea's act or someone else's. It has never been said that it was North Korea's doing until now. Please relieve the grievance of an old person."
In response, President Moon said, "There is no change at all in the government's official position," and replied, "We will look into your concerns."
