[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is operating various coupon events linked to local businesses called the ‘Spring Flower Sale Festa’ along with the opening of the spring flower festival through an online homepage platform.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, from the 1st to the 12th, Yeouiseo-ro Cherry Blossom Road will be completely closed to pedestrians and vehicles. Meanwhile, the controlled section will be actively utilized to create an online virtual festival space incorporating IT technology.
The online spring flower festival, presented under the title ‘Everyone’s Spring,’ will run from April 5 to 30. All content related to the spring flower festival is unified on a single landing page to enhance accessibility, convenience, and focus.
It is designed as an interactive scenario to enable two-way experiences where users can actively participate, rather than simple one-way streaming content.
Visitors to the online spring flower festival will enjoy online content such as ▲a mission to collect flower petals in the web virtual space ▲growing spring flower trees and leaving their own messages ▲watching blooming and falling flowers in the virtual space and participating in events, creating their own spring flower festival stories through direct experience.
Additionally, there will be a spring flower virtual walk where visitors can watch the controlled section’s cherry blossom road in real time through spring flower streaming videos, ‘Flower Staring Videos’ enjoyed with slow-motion effects, a VR virtual gallery featuring online exhibitions by local artists on various themes, and an online market selling art products related to the spring flower festival.
From 3 PM on the 4th, a live online opening performance featuring singer Kwon Jin-ah, singer Sam Kim, and announcer Lee Ji-ae will take place. Diverse content is prepared, including a spring flower book concert with poet Oh Eun, literary critic Heo Hee, and the band Bicycle Ride Scenery, as well as a no-audience performance video by the Yeongdeungpo-gu Youth Chamber Orchestra.
