According to Daejeon City on the 29th, a person in their 20s (Daejeon 1268) who showed symptoms of coughing and chills was confirmed positive the day before.
This confirmed case is an employee of a nightlife bar who was visited on the night of the 22nd by a group including an emotional pub employee (Daejeon 1252) confirmed positive on the 26th. At that time, case 1252 was found to have visited the nightlife bar with fellow emotional pub employee 1259 and emotional pub customers and acquaintances, cases 1266 and 1267.
Among them, a nightlife bar employee (Daejeon 1269) who socialized with this group and a nightlife bar customer in their 40s (Daejeon 1270), who contacted case 1268 on the night of the 25th, also tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
With three confirmed cases emerging from the nightlife bar, health authorities have identified and advised about 30 visitors since the 22nd to undergo COVID-19 testing and are also considering issuing a business suspension order for the establishment.
Regarding the emotional pub in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, one person in their 20s (Daejeon 1271) who had contact with employee 1259 was also confirmed positive on the same day. This is the eighth confirmed case related to the emotional pub. Tracing back to the sashimi restaurant, which served as the initial transmission point, a total of 21 people have been sequentially confirmed positive.
