[Asia Economy Reporter Nana Park] Park Suhong is going through the toughest year of his life, but he said that his pet cat 'Dahongi' has been a great source of strength for him.

On the 27th, the MBN show 'Dongchimi' aired an episode titled 'My Child is This Amazing,' featuring Jeon Wonju, Yang Taekjo, Park Suhong, and Shim Jinhwa as cast members discussing various topics.

That day, Park Suhong introduced his pet cat Dahongi, saying, "I went to a fishing spot, and there was a cat that kept following me. I never thought about raising a cat in my life, and I didn't even like cats. I wondered, 'Why is this cat following me?' so I took it with me, and it stayed in my arms for three hours." He added, "When the sun rose, I took it to the animal hospital, and it had a tumor and was infested with parasites all over its body."

He continued, "After the surgery, I planned to give it away. I sent it somewhere else, but it couldn't even urinate there, and when I appeared on TV, it recognized me and scratched, so I brought it back." He said with a laugh, "Since I had never raised a cat, I thought all cats behaved like that. It kept following me around, so I thought it was normal to take cats for walks."

He then said, "(Right now) I am going through the hardest year of my life. I really felt like I was going to die, experiencing my life falling apart. Because of that, I couldn't sleep," but added tearfully, "The cat blinked its eyes at me until I fell asleep."

Park Suhong said, "I have always felt the burden of having to protect my family alone since I was born," and shared, "I started YouTube to show off this cat, but there was a comment saying, 'People think Park Suhong rescued Dahongi, but actually Dahongi rescued Park Suhong,'" as he broke down in tears.
