[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hanjin announced on the 26th that it has launched the ‘Simple Travel’ service, which allows customers to use rental products necessary for travel via courier delivery.
‘Simple Travel’ is a service that enables travelers to receive rental products consisting of items needed at the travel destination delivered by courier to their accommodation, use them, and then return them, allowing for a convenient travel experience without heavy luggage.
The rental products include two sets of clothing, a Dyson Airwrap (hair styler), an umbrella, a selfie stick tripod, and a skincare kit, composed of essential travel items and items that provide a new travel experience.
The Simple Travel service is available at all accommodations (hotels and resorts) throughout Jeju Island, and packages including a room with a Hallasan view at Seogwipo KAL Hotel, as well as a travel kit composed of essential items for traveling with pets, are also available. The pet travel kit can also be purchased separately at IhaNex Mall.
To make a reservation, select the accommodation name and check-in date within Jeju Island, enter the accommodation address on the payment page, and once it is confirmed that the accommodation can accept courier consignments, the reservation is finalized. For clothing, customers can choose outfits and apply for rental up to five days before check-in on the ClosetShare website, a clothing rental company.
To celebrate the official launch, Simple Travel is holding an event on Instagram offering various prizes and providing discount coupons in collaboration with Jin Air and rental partner companies.
Hanjin stated, "We plan to expand the Simple Travel service to accommodations nationwide and increase partnerships to secure a variety of rental items," adding, "Based on our expertise in courier and logistics, we will continue to discover business models that provide new customer experiences."
