[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Online video service (OTT) Watcha announced on the 26th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will operate the ‘CGV Watcha Theater,’ screening carefully selected works by Watcha at 14 CGV theaters nationwide. Watcha will begin ticket reservations for CGV Watcha Theater movies from today. Screenings at the Watcha Theater can be booked through the CGV website and mobile app, and reservations are also available via WatchaPedia, Watcha’s content evaluation and recommendation service, which is linked with CGV. The mystery thriller ‘Swallow,’ which depicts a woman obsessed with the desire to swallow things she should not, is also available for viewing at the Watcha Theater.
Watcha will also present a diverse film exhibition featuring six works, including director Kim Bora’s ‘House of Hummingbird,’ ‘Microhabitat,’ ‘The Watcher,’ ‘Night of the Undead,’ ‘Worst Day,’ and ‘Cheer Up, Mr. Byun,’ which will be alternately re-screened for two weeks each at the 14 theaters.
