[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangsan District in Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that it recently conducted education to strengthen public-private cooperation capabilities.
This training was conducted in a hybrid online and offline format on computers in government buildings and offices, targeting all district public officials.
Min Hyun-jung, a senior research fellow at the Gwangju-Jeonnam Research Institute, who served as the instructor, explained the importance of public-private cooperation by citing Gwangsan District's achievements and cases such as the designation of Jangnok Wetland as a national wetland protection area, the Neul Happiness Project for permanent rental apartments, and the Gwangsan Economic Vaccine Meeting.
She also emphasized "sharing" during the training.
She stated, "When the policy-making process and outcomes are shared with civil society, a consensus on cooperation is formed."
A Gwangsan District official said, "To succeed in decentralized autonomy, the roots of public-private cooperation must be deeply planted in the community," adding, "We will strive to establish a culture of communication and deliberative cooperation throughout society."
