Han Young PNS CEO Kim Yoon Seop, Alumni, Donates 100 Million Won to Development Fund
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Technology Management Academy (GTMBA) Alumni Association announced on the 24th that it held the 7th regular general meeting and the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Alumni Association president on the afternoon of the 23rd at GIST Oryong Hall.
The event was held in strict compliance with quarantine rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and about 40 alumni, including Kim Young-jip, GIST Vice President for External Affairs, and Song Kyung-hyun, CEO of Kyunghyang Industry Co., Ltd. and the 3rd Alumni Association president, attended. Jeong Ki-seop, chairman of Goun City I Co., Ltd., was elected as the 4th Alumni Association president.
A donation ceremony for 100 million KRW from alumnus Kim Yoon-seop's development fund was also held. He had previously donated 20 million KRW and additionally donated 100 million KRW on this day.
He is currently serving as the CEO of Han Young PNS Co., Ltd., specializing in manufacturing molds, home appliance parts, and lighting products. He has received awards such as the Gwangju Metropolitan City Export Award, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, the Deputy Prime Minister Award from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, and the Speaker of the National Assembly Award.
In his farewell speech, Song Kyung-hyun, the 3rd Alumni Association president, said, “The Alumni Association has contributed to the mutual development of alumni companies as well as the development of GTMBA and the local community. I would like to once again express my gratitude to the executives who helped me carry out the important role of Alumni Association president over the past two years, as well as to the presidents of each class, the secretary-general, and the alumni seniors and juniors who have always supported and encouraged me.”
Jeong Ki-seop, the 4th Alumni Association president, said in his inauguration speech, “I will do my best to further develop the existing projects carried out by the Alumni Association and to lead and take responsibility for the future of the region through cooperation between GIST, the top research-oriented university, and GTMBA alumni companies.” He added, “I will also strive to promote communication and exchange among alumni to develop GTMBA into the best premium academy.”
