[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] CareLabs subsidiary Goodoc announced on the 23rd that it has officially launched Korea’s first COVID-19 mobile vaccine passport service, ‘Goodoc Pass’.
‘Goodoc Pass’ is a mobile vaccine passport service that encrypts vaccination information data provided by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency into a QR code for verification. The vaccination information data is encrypted and provided only to the user.
The service encrypts and records ▲vaccination date and hospital ▲vaccine type, and also provides a schedule management function through guidance on the number of doses per vaccine. Going forward, in line with the gradual selection of vaccine recipients, features such as ▲vaccine recipient notifications ▲reservation function for hospitals where vaccination is available will also be updated.
Korea's No.1 non-face-to-face medical service platform, 'Goodoc', has introduced the country's first COVID-19 vaccine passport service, 'Goodoc Pass'.
Park Kyungdeuk, CEO of Goodoc, said, “Goodoc Pass, launched as the country’s first vaccine passport service, is the result of Goodoc, the healthcare platform with the largest number of users in Korea, considering how it can contribute socially as COVID-19 vaccinations have recently begun in earnest. Since its main purpose is to increase the convenience of vaccination proof and provide healthy information, we plan to explore various measures to contribute to the formation of herd immunity among more people and further revitalize the stagnant industrial sector through partnership collaborations offering benefits to vaccine recipients.”
‘Goodoc Pass’ is currently also pursuing the establishment of international standards aimed at overseas services. The company plans to continuously consult with overseas partners and expand the convenience of COVID-19 vaccination proof comprehensively, as clear standards for vaccine passport services have not yet been established domestically or internationally.
Since 2019, Goodoc has introduced social services such as the ‘Corona Scanner,’ which can track the movement paths of confirmed COVID-19 cases, and the ‘Mask Scanner,’ which enables real-time mask inventory tracking. These services have been evaluated as contributing to alleviating social anxiety and improving convenience, and the company received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT. The company intends to focus on improving the convenience of vaccination proof with the launch of ‘Goodoc Pass,’ its third service in response to COVID-19.
