[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) is recruiting participants for the '2021 Jegi-dong Godeaemap Village Urban Regeneration Resident Contest Project' from March 29 to April 9.
This project aims to increase residents' interest and participation in the Godeaemap Village urban regeneration and to establish a foundation for resident-led urban regeneration projects. Eligible participants include resident groups of three or more people residing or living within the target area (workplace, study, etc.), and organizations located in Dongdaemun-gu (non-profit corporations, cooperatives, (preliminary) social enterprises, etc.).
The contest categories are divided into 'General Contest' and 'Planning Contest.'
In the General Contest, neighbor-making projects to form resident groups are supported up to 1 million KRW per case, and project discovery for local agenda identification and utilization of local resources is supported up to 5 million KRW per case.
The Planning Contest, aimed at linking regeneration projects reflecting local characteristics and deepening existing projects, supports up to 10 million KRW per case.
Residents or organizations wishing to participate can obtain application forms from the Dongdaemun-gu Office website's notices and announcements or blog, complete them, and submit them by visiting the Jegi-dong Godeaemap Village Urban Regeneration Field Support Center (148 Anam-ro, Dongdaemun-gu) or via email (godaeapmaeul@naver.com).
