[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency announced on the 21st that "due to the increase in leisure crowds in the province and the lifting of business hour restrictions in non-metropolitan areas (level 1.5), the number of drunk driving vehicles has increased, so they will conduct intensive drunk driving crackdowns on highways."
The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency plans to focus on cracking down on drunk driving and not wearing seat belts at rest areas and highway toll gates (TG) during late-night and morning hours.
A Gangwon Provincial Police Agency official stated, "Drunk driving must be eradicated, and it is necessary for the public to recognize the dangers of drunk driving themselves and to show great interest and participation," urging the eradication of drunk driving.
