[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] The hotel industry is rolling out promotions that allow guests to fully enjoy the feeling of traveling within the hotel, amid restrictions on overseas travel due to COVID-19. The offerings are diverse, ranging from wine tours enjoyed with nature to music listening and meditation in guest rooms, as well as packages featuring seasonal spring ingredients for special delicacies.
Sono Hotels & Resorts has launched the 'Sono Winery Tour Package.' The Sono Winery Tour is a content experience where sommeliers personally select premium wines to be enjoyed in indoor and outdoor spaces within Sono Hotels & Resorts. Guests can drink wine at classic and modern stations designed for taking 'certification shots' alongside wines from different continents. The concept of the tour is 'wine tour enjoyed in nature,' with each station located on outdoor terraces, gardens, and plazas adjacent to the surrounding sea or forest. Visual elements or decorations that could disrupt the overall atmosphere are minimized around the stations, while props such as grass, candles, and ethanol heaters are used to create a natural and calm ambiance.
The Sono Winery Tour Package includes accommodation, two winery tour tickets, two waterpark tickets, and breakfast buffet for two. The waterpark allows free admission for up to two preschool children. At Sol Beach Jindo, the waterpark option can be replaced with the infinity pool, and at Sonobel Cheongsong, it can be substituted with Solsaem Hot Springs. At Hongcheon Sonopellice and Sonopellice Village, guests can choose to use either the infinity pool or the Ocean World waterpark. The Sono Winery Tour is available for purchase on the official Sono Hotels & Resorts website. For Sonobel Vivaldi Park, weekday packages are sold from a member price of 135,000 KRW. The package usage period is from May 1 to June 30.
The Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel’s buffet restaurant 'The Terrace' is running a 'Spring Promotion' until the 11th of next month, featuring six special dishes made with representative regional spring seasonal ingredients from across the country. The promotion offers various dishes such as stir-fried, seasoned, and vegetable dishes using spring herbs like durup (angelica tree shoots), shepherd’s purse, rape blossoms, and spring cabbage, which help stimulate appetite and boost vitality during the easily appetite-losing change of seasons, as well as spring seasonal ingredients like webfoot octopus, oysters, and flatfish. Dishes include spicy stir-fried West Sea webfoot octopus, fragrant shepherd’s purse, oyster jjamppong with fresh oysters from Tongyeong, seasoned rape blossoms from Jeju, and nutty boiled durup from Gapyeong. The promotion also features a bibimbap station served with Pyeongchang Korean beef tartare. The prices are 95,000 KRW for weekday lunch, 115,000 KRW for weekday dinner and weekend lunch, and 120,000 KRW for weekend dinner (tax included).
Paradise Hotel Busan has launched the 'Ocean Terrace Music Journey' package in collaboration with premium home appliance brand Balmuda, offering healing with Haeundae ocean views and music. This package features unique experiences such as 'Badameong (staring blankly at the sea)' and 'Sorimeong (being dazed while listening to sounds),' focusing on healing and relaxation. Guests using the package are lent a Bluetooth 'Balmuda The Speaker.' They can enjoy music with the cool sea breeze from a room with a Haeundae ocean view terrace, soothing the mind and body tired from the winter. An 'Afternoon Tea To-Go Set' consisting of 12 different desserts and beverages is also provided. Reservations must be made by phone at least one day before the stay, and guests can pick up the set at the Crystal Garden in the main building’s first-floor lobby lounge at their preferred time on the day of use. Benefits also include all-day access to the outdoor hot spring Cimer’s 'Spring Flower Spa' and Ocean Spa Pool, BMW Kids Driving, Haba Kids Lounge, Woongjin Book Club, and other facilities for spring healing and activities. The package is sold on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 10 rooms per day until the 30th of next month. Prices start from 250,000 KRW (tax and service charge excluded).
