The Seoul Hannam-dong residence of the late Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Group The residence of the late Lee Kun-hee, former chairman of Samsung Group and the most expensive detached house in South Korea, located in Hannam-dong, has surpassed a publicly announced price of 43 billion KRW this year.
According to the Seoul Real Estate Information Inquiry System on the 19th, Lee's Hannam-dong residence (1245.1㎡), ranked first among detached houses, has a publicly announced price of 43.15 billion KRW this year, up 5.6% from 40.85 billion KRW last year.
The second most expensive house, owned by Lee in Itaewon-dong (3422.9㎡), increased by 2.2% from 34.2 billion KRW last year to 34.96 billion KRW this year.
Shinsegae Chairwoman Lee Myung-hee's Hannam-dong residence (2604.78㎡) has a publicly announced price of 30.65 billion KRW this year, up 6.6% from 28.74 billion KRW last year.
The publicly announced prices of former presidents' houses have also risen significantly.
Former President Lee Myung-bak's residence in Nonhyeon-dong (1299.1㎡) increased by 13.9%, from 10.16 billion KRW to 11.57 billion KRW, and former President Park Geun-hye's residence in Naegok-dong (570.6㎡) rose by 8.4%, from 1.464 billion KRW to 1.587 billion KRW.
Former President Kim Young-sam's residence in Sangdo-dong (340.94㎡) jumped 23.6%, from 1.03 billion KRW to 1.611 billion KRW.
Mr. Chun Doo-hwan's main house in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu (419.5㎡), increased by 7.9%, from 3.037 billion KRW to 3.276 billion KRW.
The period for viewing the scheduled publicly announced prices is from today until July 7. Afterward, the final publicly announced prices will be determined following objection submissions and other procedures.
