[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] CJ Logistics announced on the 16th that the total downloads of the ‘CJ Logistics Courier App,’ which allows real-time courier reservation and product tracking on smartphones, have surpassed 12.4 million.
This figure was obtained by checking the number of downloads of the CJ Logistics Courier App on application markets such as Google Play and Apple App Store, and it is evaluated that the number of customers using the courier app has increased due to the continuous growth of the e-commerce market.
CJ Logistics launched the CJ Logistics Courier App in 2014 and has been providing it to customers through continuous functional improvements. Services related to courier delivery such as parcel registration, reservation, returns, and delivery tracking can be easily handled with just one courier app.
In particular, by linking the app with a shopping mall only once through the courier app, the delivery information of purchased products is automatically registered, eliminating the need to check the shopping mall. Delivery tracking is also available for parcels delivered by other major courier companies besides CJ Logistics.
Customer consultation services are also provided through the AI consultation system ‘Chatbot’ embedded within the courier app. Based on machine learning AI, the CJ Logistics chatbot responds to customer inquiries as if a human consultant is actually conversing, using natural language processing and machine learning.
The chatbot is available 24 hours a day for any courier-related customer inquiries. Unlike existing call centers that had operating hour restrictions, it can respond promptly to customer inquiries.
A CJ Logistics official said, “Courier service has established itself as an essential infrastructure industry for the entire nation,” and added, “We will strive to enhance customer convenience by continuously improving the performance of the courier app.”
