Zaigle, Turned Operating Profit Positive Last Year... "Expect Growth This Year Through Medical Device and Cosmetics Businesses"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Zaigle announced on the 15th that it achieved an operating profit of 1.3 billion KRW last year, successfully turning a profit compared to the previous year. Sales amounted to 18 billion KRW, and net income for the period was 900 million KRW.

Since early last year, Zaigle has pursued a management efficiency strategy aimed at turning a profit. Through improving business structure and sales capabilities, as well as strengthening business competencies, it succeeded in securing financial soundness. It has also reinforced overseas sales channels, increasing the proportion of exports.

This year, significant growth is expected in new businesses related to beauty healthcare and medical devices. Having obtained GMP certification for medical devices earlier this year, Zaigle is able to fully launch its medical device business. Additionally, the ZWC serum received China’s sanitary approval, signaling a green light for global expansion.

Zaigle diversified its sales products by acquiring the skin specialist brand Pielmed. Pielmed is a brand recognized for its excellent quality and has secured a loyal customer base; it is expected to become Zaigle’s cash cow in the future. In addition to skin care cosmetics, development and launch of body cleansers, shampoos, and hair dyes are underway, accelerating growth.

A Zaigle representative stated, "Since declaring profitable management, we have thoroughly improved our finances and business structure, achieving the turnaround to profitability. This year, based on the improved structure, we will actively consider investments and acquisitions related to associated businesses, and sales will be generated not only from existing kitchen appliances but also from various fields such as beauty, healthcare, and medical devices."
