[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Credit Recovery Committee announced on the 15th the results of a survey on the effectiveness and satisfaction of credit education participants, targeting individuals undergoing personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy in the first half of last year, as well as those who attended education within the last three months.

The Credit Recovery Committee conducts credit-related education for individuals undergoing personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy in cooperation with the Seoul Rehabilitation Court and five other courts nationwide.

According to the Credit Recovery Committee, among the 379 participants who attended the education in the first half of last year, 86.5% responded that the education provided by the Credit Recovery Committee helped improve their financial literacy. 85.5% reported improved consumption habits, and 76.6% expressed willingness to continue receiving education.

Among 1,382 participants who attended education within the last three months, 91.4% reported satisfaction with the education. When asked whether the education on savings, consumption, and credit score management was helpful in daily life, 92.8% answered "yes."

Lee Gye-moon, Chairman of the Credit Recovery Committee, emphasized, "Only 11% of personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy applicants last year completed credit education," adding, "Since the survey confirmed the effectiveness of credit education, it is necessary to expand the education to courts nationwide."
