[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Myungse CMK, a specialist company in hot and cold delivery carts for hospital patient meals, and Yujin Robot, a company specializing in autonomous driving solutions, announced that they will unveil the jointly developed autonomous delivery cart 'Drigo' for the first time at the 36th International Medical Devices & Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES 2021) to be held on the 18th.

The autonomous delivery cart Drigo, unveiled for the first time at this exhibition, is the world's first always-hot-and-cold autonomous delivery cart created by combining Myungse CMK's patient meal hot and cold delivery cart with Yujin Robot's autonomous driving solution.

Drigo is equipped with an autonomous driving solution that maps spaces and autonomously navigates the routes of existing electric delivery carts within medical facilities such as kitchens, hospital ward corridors, and cleaning rooms. It can carry loads up to 600kg and is applicable in various on-site environments, including elevator boarding and alighting and simultaneous movement of multiple delivery carts.

It enhances user convenience and efficiency by allowing switching from autonomous driving mode to electric mode, and is preparing for PL d-grade safety certification required for overseas exports.

Additionally, it features temperature control to maintain food freshness during transport, providing healthy patient meals. In particular, it is equipped with an integrated management system including a tray holder removal structure for effective cleaning after meal distribution and a UV lamp for internal sterilization, enabling more thorough and safe hygiene management.

Drigo presents a new paradigm in hospital logistics and is expected to serve as an opportunity to apply autonomous driving solutions (AMS) in various fields, including large domestic and international medical facilities that require autonomous driving functions.

A Myungse CMK official stated, "Patient meals have the highest volume of goods movement in hospitals from morning to lunch to dinner, and since they are directly linked to patient satisfaction, it is important to have both freshness and transport efficiency," adding, "Drigo will be an efficient investment leading hospital logistics innovation."
