Guro-gu Implements 'Youth Enterprise Certification System'... Support for Funding and Marketing

Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is actively promoting the ‘Youth Enterprise Certification System’ to support youth enterprises.

Guro-gu announced on the 15th, “We have established the Youth Enterprise Certification System to support the startups and business activities of youth, who account for 14% of local businesses,” adding, “Certified enterprises will be given priority support in projects promoted by the district, including funding, marketing, and talent recruitment necessary for business activities.”

To this end, Guro-gu enacted the ‘Ordinance on the Fostering and Support of Youth Enterprises’ in May last year, laying the foundation for systematic nurturing and support of youth enterprises.

The Youth Enterprise Certification System is a system for discovering, certifying, and supporting youth enterprises in the region. Eligible businesses are those located in Guro-gu, led by representatives aged between 19 and 39.

Guro-gu plans to conduct on-site inspections twice a year to verify the suitability of youth enterprises, checking for bankruptcy, closure, changes in representatives, or business relocation.

Youth enterprises wishing to apply can prepare the application form and visit the district office’s Regional Economy Division or apply via mail or email. For more details, please refer to the district office website.

Selected certified enterprises will receive various benefits such as priority purchase of youth enterprise products, loans from the Small and Medium Business Development Fund, customized marketing support, participation fee support for overseas branch establishment, and preferential selection for participation in the G-Valley export consultation meeting.

A Guro-gu official stated, “We will actively support youth enterprise activities, which are the driving force of future national development, to lay the groundwork for continuous growth and qualitative leap,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to discover various projects and policies for youth enterprises.”
