[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Recently, TVXQ's Yunho (real name Jung Yun-ho, 35) was caught by the police for drinking alcohol in violation of quarantine rules, and it has been revealed that he was drinking at an illegal membership-only entertainment bar at the time.

According to MBC's "News Desk" on the 12th, the companions fought with the police, and Yunho tried to escape during the commotion but failed.

According to MBC, Yunho was drinking until midnight at an illegal unlicensed entertainment establishment located in a commercial building in Cheongdam-dong, which only allows visits from existing or reserved customers.

This bar is registered as a general restaurant with the local district office but is actually operated as an unlicensed entertainment bar where female employees serve customers.

Yunho drank with three acquaintances, but it is unknown how many female employees were present or whether they accompanied the group.

When the police raided the place around midnight, the acquaintances fought with the police to help Yunho escape, and Yunho attempted to flee, MBC reported. The scuffle became intense to the point where handcuffing was mentioned.

After the violation of quarantine rules became known, Yunho posted an apology on social media saying, "I spent time talking with friends and failed to observe the business restriction hours. I am angry at myself," but he did not mention the scuffle or escape attempt.

The police are also considering booking the companions who fought with the officers on charges of obstructing official duties.

Additionally, Yunho is being investigated for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.

Gangnam District Office decided to take administrative action against the establishment for violating quarantine rules.

Meanwhile, after MBC's report on this matter was released, Yunho's agency SM Entertainment denied the claims, stating there are "parts that differ from the facts."

SM stated, "Yunho went to the place because a friend who wanted to consult about a concern contacted him and asked him to come, and it was his first time visiting that place. Also, Yunho only spent time with his friends there, and there was absolutely no female employee accompanying them," they claimed.
