[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On MBC variety show 'Ant's Dream,' Jang Dong-min attracted attention by revealing his stock return rate.
Jang Dong-min has been a hot topic on various broadcasts for his high stock returns. Regarding this, Kim Gu-ra said to Jang Dong-min, "There have been many rumors lately."
Jang Dong-min stated, "It was mistakenly reported that my return rate was 500%. It is actually 1200%," adding, "I didn't learn from anyone; I studied on my own and started."
He said, "I wasn't interested in stocks, but when I didn't participate, I felt left out. I kept buying stocks without knowing what they were because everyone else was talking about them. One day, I saw that the stock was delisted. It didn't seem to suit me, so I quit all at once. Then an acquaintance recommended stocks to me at the end of 2019."
He continued, "I opened an account for investment, but it was cut in half and kept falling. It was a company that developed new materials, but I wasn't interested," adding, "However, now the return rate has risen, and it has increased by more than 1000% compared to the investment amount."
Jang Dong-min described his investment method, saying, "I watch the fluctuations in returns and sell immediately when I make a 3-4% profit," revealing that he practices 'ultra-short-term' trading.
Contrasting with the high returns, Do Kyung-wan's story was also introduced.
Do Kyung-wan introduced himself as "a small-capital beginner who chases quick riches and is a gullible junk stock enthusiast."
Do Kyung-wan started investing with seed money of 3 million won.
He said he started stocks because of his wife, Jang Yoon-jung: "I started investing when our second child was born. Our first child is so pretty and cute, but was raised with the mother's money. I wanted to raise the second child with my own money. Buy clothes and send them to daycare. So I started investing."
However, his return rate was not good. Do Kyung-wan revealed that he experienced stocks that were suspended from trading and even delisted stocks.
In response, Kim Gu-ra asked, "Most people who deal with junk stocks don't tell their wives. Does your wife know?" Do Kyung-wan replied, "She doesn't know. She doesn't know about the delisting."
Experts advised, "Always invest with surplus funds," adding, "It's dangerous to invest while damaging your principal. Stock investing is a lifelong activity. If you put your soul into it, you won't last a lifetime."
