Kakao Invests 424.9 Billion KRW in Building Eco-Friendly Data Center

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao announced on the 12th that it will invest 424.9 billion KRW to build an eco-friendly data center.

The investment scale is about 7.4% of its equity capital.

Kakao's data center will be completed in 2023 at Hanyang University ERICA Campus in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.

Kakao stated that the purpose of the investment is "to strengthen the management and operation of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, and to respond to the increasing future IT demand data."
