Seongsu 1 District Reconstruction in Seoul Passes Building Review... 282 Households to Be Built Seongsu 1-ga Reconstruction Location Map (Provided by Seoul City)

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] A residential complex with 282 households will be built near Ttukseom Station in Seoul.

On the 12th, Seoul City announced that it held the 4th Architecture Committee meeting on the 9th and approved the architectural plan for the 'Detached House Reconstruction and Maintenance Project' in the area of 656-1267, Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong-gu.

The site, covering 11,348㎡, is located south of Jungnangcheon, close to the Hangang walking trail, and Seoul Forest is within a 1 km radius. Numerous elementary, middle, and high schools, including Hanyang University, are also located nearby.

Seoul City plans to apply a floor area ratio of 238.29% to this site and construct a residential complex (282 households) ranging from 2 basement floors to 22 above-ground floors, along with auxiliary welfare facilities (365.38㎡) and neighborhood living facilities (810.27㎡).

To preserve the characteristics of the alleys in Seongsu-dong, the city explained that the 'Newtro' concept was applied, and the Seongdong-gu urban regeneration project is based on the 'Red Brick Village' project, incorporating brick materials and facade designs. A public pedestrian passage will be created, and a central rest yard will be placed in the sunny southern center of the complex.

Kim Seongbo, Head of the Housing Architecture Division, said, "In addition to public reconstruction and public redevelopment, we will revitalize small-scale reconstruction and maintenance projects like Seongsu 1 District to stabilize the housing market."
