SC Engineering Establishes 'Yeosu Branch'... "Base for Expanding Orders and Strengthening Profitability"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Comprehensive engineering specialist company SC Engineering announced on the 11th that it has established a Yeosu branch to strengthen the driving force of its EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) business, aiming to expand orders and profitability.

A company official stated, "About 50% of the domestic industrial facility projects SC Engineering has secured over the past five years were ordered in the Yeosu area," adding, "Yeosu, where many chemical plants currently operating with SC Engineering's EPC technology are located, is a place concentrated with existing business achievements and potential customers. We expect to more effectively expand various order achievements such as new, expansion, and maintenance projects."

The Yeosu National Industrial Complex (hereinafter Yeosu Industrial Complex), located in Yeosu, is the largest petrochemical complex in Korea. Despite the industry downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic last year, recent improvements in chemical product demand and plant operating rates have led to an increase in previously delayed facility investments.

Accordingly, SC Engineering plans to actively implement a local strategy to increase order possibilities by proactively identifying client needs through a close cooperative network with customers within the Yeosu Industrial Complex based at the Yeosu branch and providing pre-technical sales services utilizing construction experience. Additionally, it will establish a rapid response process that realizes customer satisfaction and strengthens cost competitiveness based on cooperation with excellent partner companies.

Yoo Seung-gyu, CEO of SC Engineering, emphasized, "The expected scale of large-scale project orders that SC Engineering is focusing on in the Yeosu area this year is about 150 billion KRW," adding, "By strengthening comprehensive close sales with the Yeosu branch as a strategic base and doubling the order scale compared to the previous year in the Yeosu area, we will do our utmost to achieve both external growth and profitability enhancement."
