[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 11th that it held a 'Video Consultation Meeting to Support Exports of Regional Small and Strong Enterprises.'
The consultation meeting was held over two days from the 11th to the 12th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, with 114 small and strong enterprises from seven regions including Incheon, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk participating. These companies were matched with 95 buyers from 33 countries, discovered through regional online exhibition halls opened within TradeKorea, a B2B trading platform operated by KITA, and conducted about 250 video consultations over the two days.
This time, KITA explained that they enhanced the stability and efficiency of consultations by utilizing their proprietary video consultation system 'TradeKorea-Meet (tK_Meet),' which incorporates domestic startup technology. Lee Young-ho, Director of KITA's Online Marketing Office, stated, "The tK_Meet, introduced this year, is a dedicated video consultation service for TradeKorea, offering high stability and allowing participation via PC or mobile through a link without separate installation. It also supports Full HD quality, which greatly helps in product explanations and demonstrations."
‘Ilgongu Tools,’ a small and strong enterprise from the Chungnam region, produces functional tools used by experts such as carpenters and construction technicians by integrating four functions including a plaster plane and saw into a general cutter knife. They were introduced to Japanese buyers through TradeKorea. A representative from Ilgongu Tools said, "We sent samples to the Japanese buyers before the consultation, and they were very satisfied," expressing expectations by adding, "We believe this video consultation will achieve our first success in entering the Japanese market."
Kim Hyun-chul, Head of KITA’s Global Marketing Division, said, "By applying the video consultation solution within TradeKorea, buyers and sellers can conveniently meet anytime," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in pioneering overseas markets for promising companies by utilizing various online marketing tools."
