[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, inspected the COVID-19 vaccination site on the 9th.


On this day, vaccinations were conducted at Yonsei Serim Internal Medicine Clinic located in Hyochang-dong, Yongsan-gu, where 32 staff members of the Yongsan-gu Public Senior Nursing Home completed their vaccinations.


As of the 9th, the cumulative number of vaccinations in the Yongsan-gu area is 1,982.


Employees of medical institutions at the hospital level or higher, nursing facility workers, Yongsan-gu Public Health Center staff, and 119 emergency personnel are receiving vaccinations at local clinics and health centers.


The district plans to complete vaccinations for about 2,000 people by the end of this month, and in the second quarter, continue vaccinations for seniors aged 65 and older, medical institution and pharmacy workers, residents of facilities for the disabled and homeless, and from July, vaccinations will be extended to all residents aged 18 to 64.


Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “Vaccinations are progressing smoothly,” and added, “We ask for the active cooperation of residents so that we can restore our daily lives as soon as possible.”


He also added, “It takes time to increase the vaccination rate. It will be difficult, but please continue to maintain social distancing.”
