[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] P&K Skin Clinical Research Center (hereinafter P&K), a specialized company in skin human application testing, announced on the 10th that it has completed the establishment of the Dream Center in Bupyeong, following the Vision Center in Yeouido.
The newly established Dream Center is located in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon. It was designed to have about 70% of the human application testing capacity compared to the existing Vision Center located in Yeouido. The company expects it to contribute to sales expansion.
As P&K opened the Dream Center, it has thoroughly prepared in advance, including expanding its workforce since the end of last year, so that human application tests can be conducted immediately. Tests that were delayed due to social distancing measures are expected to proceed without delay.
The Dream Center has expanded the EEG laboratory and newly developed an emotional evaluation room and protocol for the first time in Korea, enabling scientific evaluation of emotions such as comfort. Through this, it is expected to present new standards for consumers to easily understand even aspects they were not aware of themselves when choosing cosmetics.
In addition, in line with consumer trends emphasizing the safety and efficacy of cosmetic ingredients, the safety evaluation room and 'In vitro' evaluation room have also been expanded. Furthermore, through independently developed blue light testing methods and equipment, tests related to blue light blocking, which have been difficult to measure until now, are expected to be expanded.
Through this expansion to the Dream Center, P&K expects to solidify its position as the number one skin certification center. Moreover, not settling for being the top domestic skin clinical center, it aims to expand new research and strengthen capabilities, anticipating future global expansion.
Lee Haegwang, CEO of P&K, said, “The newly established Dream Center is expected to present a new model for skin clinical research centers and show a greater future vision. The Dream Center will serve as a forward base for global market entry, and it is expected that tests delayed due to spatial limitations and responses to new demands will proceed smoothly.”
Meanwhile, as promised before going public, P&K is steadily drawing up a mid- to long-term growth roadmap aiming for entry into the Chinese market in the second half of this year, following the establishment of the Dream Center.
