On the 9th at 2 PM, the 1st Meeting of the 'Vaccine Vaccination Regional Council' Held at Nowon-gu Community Sports Center... Vaccine Vaccination Plan, Support Measures for Private and Administrative Personnel, Review of Vaccination Guidelines
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) held the first meeting of the local COVID-19 vaccine vaccination council at 2 p.m. on the 9th on the 2nd floor of the Nowon-gu Citizen Sports Center's alternative gymnasium.
The meeting was attended by Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, medical representatives from Eulji Hospital, Sanggye Paik Hospital, Nuclear Hospital, Nowon-gu Medical Association, Nowon-gu Nursing Association, as well as heads of related organizations including Nowon Police Station, Nowon Fire Station, and Nowon-gu Service Corporation, totaling 11 members of the local council.
During the meeting, the city, county, and district vaccine vaccination plans were shared, and discussions were held on the composition and operation plans of medical and support personnel related to vaccination, guidelines for rapid and accurate vaccination, and on-site inspections of local vaccination center locations.
Since the district has a population exceeding 500,000, in accordance with Seoul city guidelines, a total of two COVID-19 local vaccination centers have been established. The first center is set up at the Nowon-gu Citizen Sports Center (Junggye 1-dong) and is scheduled to operate from April, while the second center is located at Wolgye Culture and Sports Center (Wolgye 1-dong) and is planned to operate from July depending on vaccine supply schedules.
Meanwhile, since the first COVID-19 vaccination on the 26th of last month, as of the 8th, a total of 1,513 vaccine doses have been administered: 429 at the public health center (for nursing facilities and COVID response personnel) and 1,084 through hospital-based vaccinations (for nursing hospitals, high-risk medical institutions, psychiatric medical institutions, etc.).
The district has been operating a 24-hour adverse reaction monitoring team since the start of vaccinations, and among 2,317 monitoring cases, there have been no reports of severe adverse reactions other than mild muscle pain and low-grade fever.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok stated, “We are facing seven months of vaccination from April to October,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure thorough preparation so that the vaccination centers can operate smoothly.”
