[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] 'Star instructor' Lee Daji (37) has become a building owner worth over 10 billion KRW.

According to the real estate industry on the 9th, Lee Daji purchased a building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, consisting of one basement floor and seven above-ground floors, for 11.35 billion KRW at the end of July last year. It is reported that Lee mobilized 5 billion KRW in cash at the time of the building purchase.

Known as the 'Kim Tae-hee of instructors,' Lee graduated from Ewha Womans University with a degree in history and worked as a high school teacher before switching to an EBS instructor in 2013, gaining explosive popularity among exam takers. Since 2016, she has been working at Megastudy. Lee teaches Korean history, East Asian history, and world history, has published numerous exam preparation books, and has appeared on various broadcasts such as SBS's 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM.'

Previously appearing on MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star,' Lee addressed the '10 billion KRW annual salary rumor,' stating, "For teachers of subjects like Korean, English, and Math, each individual's sales amount to about a small company's annual revenue. However, since history, which I teach, is an elective subject in the CSAT, it doesn't reach that level."

Meanwhile, in a 2019 survey, Lee was selected as the 'most helpful instructor in the Korean history section' by students admitted to SKY universities.
