Pilot Release at the End of March
[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] The ancient history of Yangju and the appearance of Hoamsaji Temple Site can now be enjoyed through augmented reality (AR) technology.
According to Yangju City on the 9th, this project consists of two contents: the virtual exhibition "Fantasy Yangju (Subtitle: Ancient Pure Spirit)" and the "Hoamsaji AR Telescope" at the historic site.
"Fantasy Yangju" tells the story of the northern Han River basin, confirming the status of Yangju during the Three Kingdoms period, which was marked by intense territorial wars.
It is a virtual experience hall that visitors can explore themselves through AR portal technology without visiting a museum, accessible via the application "Fantasy Yangju."
The "Hoamsaji AR Telescope" is installed in three locations: the museum rooftop, the historic site observatory, and the east side of the site. It allows users to observe the virtual architecture of Hoamsaji at 36x zoom from various positions and enjoy key episodes reenacted with guidance from a child character.
This project is carried out through a tripartite agreement among Yangju City, the Gyeonggi Content Agency Foundation, and the startup company "AR Look," and is scheduled to be publicly piloted from the end of this month.
