"Let's Go to the Site" Busan Gijang Public Officials Launch Extensive Field Inspection of 'Ilgwang New Town' During Thawing Season

Oguseok, Gijang County Governor, to Focus Administrative Efforts on Premium New Town Maintenance Project

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A large-scale on-site inspection of the Ilgwang New Town redevelopment project in Gijang-gun, Busan, was carried out on the 9th to coincide with the thawing season.

At 10 a.m. that day, Gijang-gun Governor Oh Gyu-seok, along with the deputy governor, directors and section chiefs, and the Ilgwang-myeon chief, began the on-site inspection of the Ilgwang New Town redevelopment project.

At the Samsungcheon maintenance project and the 'Samsungcheon Rose Theme Road' construction site, Governor Oh said, "The walking trail section created by Busan Urban Corporation along Samsungcheon is disconnected, so please connect the trail and make it accessible for strollers."

He also inspected the park restrooms in Ilgwang New Town, including Ara Park, and instructed preparations for the opening of the Samsungcheon water playground in accordance with the COVID-19 situation.

After inspecting the Samsungcheon site, Governor Oh sequentially checked two detention ponds within Ilgwang New Town, ordering, "Convert the two detention ponds into dry detention ponds, create natural grass, shaded forests, and walking trails, install lighting facilities, and develop a rose theme park around the ponds to transform the area into a healing space. Also, benchmark other regional parks by installing photo zones and more."
