This project, with a total budget of 456 million KRW (fully funded by the national government), is scheduled to be held over approximately nine months from next month until December at various locations in Gwangju and Jeonnam. It is expected to become a festival stage where young artists from Gwangju and Jeonnam showcase diverse cultural and artistic performances.
A representative of Suncheon Cultural Foundation said, “The selection as the organizing body for the ‘Culture Day Youth Microphone’ Gwangju-Jeonnam region is a remarkable achievement for Suncheon Cultural Foundation following last year’s selection for the National Life Culture Festival. We expect it to contribute to strengthening the capabilities and expanding the activities of young cultural and artistic talents in Gwangju and Jeonnam, as well as creating youth employment.” He added, “We will do our best to overcome the community crisis caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to provide a place of comfort and healing for exhausted citizens.”
