ATS and Sudal Group Confirm Additional $48 Million Investment in Gyeonggi Province

[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] ATS Group (Austria), the world's second-largest company in the advanced PCB sector, and Soudal Group (Belgium), Europe's largest eco-friendly building materials manufacturer, are increasing their investment by $48 million (approximately 54 billion KRW) in Gyeonggi Province to expand manufacturing facilities and boost exports in South Korea.


According to Gyeonggi Province on the 9th, ATS and Soudal Group, which operate manufacturing facilities in Ansan and Anseong respectively and have been promoting exports to the Asian market, plan to expand their factories and increase exports through additional investments this year.


ATS Korea will invest $43 million to enhance its medical micro PCB (high-efficiency printed circuit board) technology, establish a second factory covering approximately 8,260㎡, and plans to hire about 150 new employees over the next three years.


ATS Group is a global company with annual sales of 1.028 billion euros (approximately 1.4 trillion KRW) and 12,390 employees.


Soudal Korea will invest $5 million to expand its factory by 2,150㎡ in response to a recent domestic sales growth of over 30%, and plans to hire around 20 new employees.


Soudal Group has sales of 893 million euros (1.2 trillion KRW) and employs 3,200 people.
