Korea Center MakeShop Develops 'Dachatda', a Dedicated Search Engine for Shopping Malls

Korea Center MakeShop Develops 'Dachatda', a Dedicated Search Engine for Shopping Malls Koreacenter's MakeShop platform has developed 'Dachatda,' a dedicated search engine for shopping malls.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Korea Center's MakeShop platform announced on the 9th that it has developed a shopping mall dedicated search engine called 'Dachatda' and is recruiting 50 shopping malls to participate in the beta test.

The shopping mall dedicated search engine is a long-cherished project of MakeShop and a service not supported by major competitors. It is an advanced search dictionary that allows searches tailored to the characteristics of each shopping mall. Dachatda is an AI (artificial intelligence)-based search service developed together with Enuri Price Comparison, a price comparison specialist company. It goes beyond simple identical word searches to enable ▲synonym searches (leopard → hopi) ▲automatic English searches (beokle → buckle) ▲same category searches (lamb meat → lamb ribs, lamb skewers), etc.

Also, reflecting the nature of shopping malls that need to register new products frequently, Dachatda can expose thousands of products through the search engine within minutes and provides continuous performance improvement services independently to maintain advanced search engines for each industry. In particular, MakeShop plans to sequentially apply a shopping search finder based on this search engine, which allows customers to select options and styles and search for products just like those provided by portal sites.

A MakeShop official said, “Dachatda is a shopping mall dedicated search engine ambitiously prepared by our company, and it will be applied sequentially to stores using MakeShop by the end of March. Based on this, we will do our best to develop various extended functions through the shopping search finder to help increase shopping mall sales.”
