Stepping Stone for Domestic Games' Entry into Overseas Markets: Game Deohagi

Recruiting 40 Games for the First Half of the Year Until the 26th... Up to 300 Million Won Worth of Points and Professional Services

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency are accepting applications for the 'Game Addition' award until the 26th. 'Game Addition' is an open market platform where game developers can search and browse services necessary for overseas expansion and trade points. It was established to expand the overseas market entry of domestic games and strengthen the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises.

This year's support budget is 5.5 billion KRW. Forty games will be selected in the first half of the year, and ten games in the second half. The former targets games developed domestically without restrictions on platform or genre, including mobile, PC, console, and virtual reality (VR). Applicants must directly release their games in overseas countries by July to be eligible. Selected games will receive points worth up to 300 million KRW. They can also choose specialized services necessary for overseas expansion.

An official stated, "There are 127 services available in the fields of localization, marketing, and infrastructure," adding, "Support is available for game content language translation, global game operation, game quality control testing, marketing such as advertising and promotion, as well as server and security technologies." They also said, "A dedicated game project manager (PM) will be assigned to provide customized strategic consulting."
