[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that they will recruit participating companies for the '2021 Global Procurement Marketer Project' from the 9th to the 29th to support small and medium enterprises' entry into international organization procurement markets.
The Global Procurement Marketer Project is a program that provides customized comprehensive consulting and in-depth education for small and medium enterprises aiming to enter international procurement markets operated by international organizations such as the UN and WHO. The target companies are SMEs manufacturing and exporting eight promising items (health and medical, agriculture and food, green new deal, systems and communications, etc.) that have had more than 10 bid invitations annually in the international organization procurement market over the past three years.
A total of 40 companies will be selected. Among them, 25 companies will receive comprehensive consulting support from preparing common documents required by international organizations, such as sustainability management reports, to bidding. The comprehensive consulting aims for successful contract awards through actual bid promotion. Fifteen companies will be supported to participate in the international organization procurement specialist training course, which includes domestic in-depth education with bid practice and opportunities for overseas field dispatch to understand international organization bidding.
Applications for participation in the Global Procurement Marketer Project can be submitted by filling out the application form in the announcement and sending it via email. Detailed information and the project announcement can be found on the websites of the Ministry and SBC. Lee Seong-hee, Head of the Global Growth Division at SBC, stated, "We hope that through the Global Procurement Marketer Project, domestic SMEs can achieve tangible results in the international organization procurement market," adding, "SBC will actively support our SMEs to grow into export companies with global capabilities by creating synergy effects through linked support among various export support projects."
