Operation of Special Task Force for Integrity Improvement from the Beginning of the Year... Anti-Corruption and Integrity Practice

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 9th that it held a 'Integrity Practice Resolution Meeting' attended by executives and employees of the headquarters and subsidiaries.
SBC declared this year as the inaugural year to enhance fairness and transparency and plans to actively pursue the operation of an integrity-based institution. Earlier, Chairman Kim Hak-do expressed a strong will to eradicate corruption in his New Year's address in January, stating, "I will take responsibility as the head of the institution this year and make it the inaugural year to enhance fairness and transparency throughout the organization."
As part of this, SBC formed a joint 'Integrity Improvement Special Task Force' with all departments from the beginning of the year and is discovering and implementing various integrity practice tasks such as ▲strengthening continuous monitoring of corruption risks ▲improving corruption reporting procedures including the introduction of an anonymous reporting system ▲enhancing transparency in project implementation ▲strengthening activities to internalize integrity.
The Integrity Practice Resolution Meeting proceeded in the order of all employees pledging to practice ethics and human rights management, joint reading of the anti-corruption and integrity declaration by employees, subsidiaries, and stakeholders, and the announcement of SBC's new integrity slogan.
The integrity slogan announced that day is "Integrity Today, Proud Tomorrow, Bright Future of Small and Medium Ventures," which signifies achieving customer satisfaction and sustainable growth of small and medium ventures through integrity-based actions. Additionally, SBC plans to conduct ethics and human rights management practice pledges independently at regional headquarters and training centers where there is direct contact with the field. To mark the end of COVID-19 and spread the anti-corruption and integrity culture, about 10,000 integrity masks were produced and distributed on-site.
Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "I hope this Integrity Practice Resolution Meeting will be an opportunity for the culture of integrity and fairness within the organization to spread further," and added, "We will actively promote the tasks discovered through the Integrity Improvement Special Task Force to create an integrity organizational culture and build an organization that customers can trust."
