[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] 'Changgo43,' a premium Korean beef specialty restaurant operated by bhc, announced on the 9th that its operating stores received the highest grade of 'Excellent' in the Food and Drug Safety Administration's (hereinafter referred to as MFDS) restaurant hygiene rating evaluation.

In the MFDS evaluation, 16 target stores of Changgo43 received the 'Excellent' grade. The Gwangju Sangmu branch, which opened in January this year, is currently undergoing evaluation.

The MFDS restaurant hygiene rating system, implemented in May 2017, evaluates the hygiene level of restaurants and grants ratings only to outstanding establishments. The ratings are divided into three levels: 'Excellent,' 'Good,' and 'Fair,' and the system was introduced to improve restaurant hygiene standards and guarantee consumer choice.

The evaluation scores are determined through assessment items such as compliance with the Food Sanitation Act, consumer satisfaction, long-term employee retention, and on-site inspections. Notably, the 'Excellent' grade that Changgo43 obtained this time is designated only when the total score is 90 points or higher.

Meanwhile, bhc's Changgo43 is a premium Korean beef specialty restaurant offering only the highest quality native Korean beef raised in clean areas. It is famous for tearing the meat along the grain using a kkeul knife and currently operates 17 directly managed stores, including the Yeouido main branch, major business districts in Seoul, Incheon Songdo, and Gwangju Metropolitan City.
