"Black Bag Floating on Han River" Firefighters Dispatched Find 'Real Doll'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jumi Lee] Firefighters who responded to a report suspecting an attempted suicide after a bag was seen floating in the Han River discovered a real doll (adult product) at the scene.

The Yeongdeungpo Fire Station in Seoul announced on the 8th, "We received a report that a bag was floating in the Han River and went to the scene, but the bag contained a real doll."

According to the fire authorities, at around 7:43 a.m. on the 7th, a report was received from the southern end of Seongsan Bridge stating, "A bag is floating on the water." The report suggested it might be the bag of someone attempting suicide.

The rescue team arrived at the scene about seven minutes after the report and found a black bag floating on the Han River. Inside the bag was the upper body of a real doll.

A fire official stated, "There was no further investigation such as searching for the person who discarded the bag," and added, "The real doll was collected by the fire station and disposed of internally."
