Shinsegae Chicor Diversifies Customer Communication in the New Normal Era with One-on-One Makeup Demonstrations
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Chicor, the beauty select shop created by Shinsegae Department Store, is offering makeup tips to college freshmen and new employees.
Chicor announced on the 9th that it will hold a beauty class for one hour from 5 PM to 6 PM on the 10th. To help customers preparing for a new start, they have prepared a non-face-to-face lecture on eye makeup techniques that leave a good impression even under masks. Shinsegae will introduce long-lasting makeup secrets using products easily available at Chicor stores, even while wearing masks. The class will cover everyday makeup tips such as ▲quickly enhancing eyebrow texture on busy mornings ▲brush techniques that turn even beginners into pros. Participants will also be introduced to various items, including daily makeup must-haves recommended by experts.
To ensure smooth communication, the class will be limited to 10 participants. From February 18 to 24, 10 customers who sent their participation stories via Shinsegae Chicor’s official SNS will be selected by lottery to join the class.
Meanwhile, Chicor is diversifying communication methods with customers to suit the new normal era. In February, they held a beauty class for nurses who wear masks for more than 10 hours a day at work. Customers who attended the one-hour class gave positive feedback such as, “I learned the correct way to use products and new makeup techniques that I can actively apply during work,” and “It was great to participate online without location restrictions, even from my hometown in Gwangju.”
They are also introducing new offline communication methods. In addition to online lectures, they have reflected customer requests to ask personal questions and receive feedback on-site. Starting this month, Chicor offers monthly services to VIP customers, including one-on-one makeup demonstrations, personal color coaching, and Benefit voucher benefits. Customers can check the monthly services on the Chicor KakaoTalk channel on the 1st of each month and apply on a first-come, first-served basis. Any Chicor VIP member can participate.
