Hamyang-gun's 'Rural Utopia' Project Gains Momentum ... Visit by Officials from Rural Development Administration Hamyang County is discussing plans to link the Rural Utopia project with the Rural Support Bureau of the Rural Development Administration.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Officials from the Rural Support Bureau of the Rural Development Administration visited Hamyang, Gyeongnam Province, to discuss collaboration on the Rural Utopia project, a rural-urban win-win initiative that began in Hamyang County.


According to Hamyang County on the 8th, in the afternoon, Director Lee Cheon-il of the Rural Support Bureau, along with the heads of the Rural Resources Division, Rural Environmental Resources Division, and other officials, visited Seoham-myeon, Hamyang County, where the Rural Utopia project is underway, to discuss ways to link the project.


They toured Seoha Elementary School in Seoham-myeon, the purchase-type rental housing for relocated households, and the youth residence platform, all part of the ongoing Rural Utopia project, exploring various methods for project collaboration.


The Hamyang County Rural Utopia project is a plan for the co-prosperity of urban and rural areas, aimed at revitalizing declining rural communities and regenerating them into sustainable rural areas. It leads rural revitalization through a package of housing, jobs, and living SOC-related projects, which are most needed in rural areas.


Previously, on the 27th of last month in Seoham-myeon, Minister Kim Hyun-soo of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Minister Byun Chang-heum of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport signed a memorandum of understanding for "Rural Area Revitalization for National Balanced Development," aimed at the development and revitalization of rural areas through collaboration on the Rural Utopia project.
