[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 8th that it has been finally selected for the 'Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, securing 70 million KRW in national funding.
The 'Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project' is a project in which local governments collaborate with non-profit organizations, etc., to autonomously propose job projects tailored to the characteristics of regional industries to solve local employment issues, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor reviews, selects, and implements them.
This project, as a 'Regional Employment Service Advancement Support Project,' will cooperate with the Jeonnam Human Resources Development Institute to contribute to stabilizing the workforce supply and demand of local small and medium-sized enterprises by discovering company recruitment needs and building and matching a demand-customized regional talent database, actively supporting job seekers' employment.
In particular, synergy effects are expected by activating the National Employment Support System together with the Yeonggwang Employment Welfare Center, which has been operating since December last year, performing employment linkage and follow-up management roles for vulnerable groups.
A county official said, “In the very serious situation of local employment problems due to COVID-19, we will continuously strive to provide more professional employment services to companies and job seekers and establish a local employment support system to increase the local employment rate.”
