Woongjin ThinkBig "Will Showcase Industry-Leading Technology"
[Asia Economy Reporter Heeyoon Kim] Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 8th that it has appointed Executive Director Jinwhan Jeong as the head of the Edutech Research Institute.
New Director Jeong is an expert with extensive experience in artificial intelligence (AI) technology development and service platform commercialization capabilities. After graduating from the Department of Computer Science at Korea University, he earned his master's and doctoral degrees in computer science from the same university. He served as a senior researcher at the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), a national intelligence comprehensive research institution, and later as a team leader at SK Telecom R&D Center.
A Woongjin ThinkBig official said, "With the recruitment of Director Jinwhan Jeong, who has a broad understanding of AI and expertise in platform technology, Woongjin ThinkBig's AI technology capabilities are expected to be further strengthened," adding, "We will present better services with industry-leading technology."
Woongjin ThinkBig continues to strengthen its AI workforce and invest in technology development. In November last year, world-renowned mathematician Professor Minhyung Kim joined as an AI mathematics advisor. Professor Kim participates in the development of AI models and programs and assists in the development and advancement of AI education services such as Woongjin SmartAll. Woongjin ThinkBig's edutech specialized personnel number about 150, representing the highest level in the industry.
