Technical Credit Evaluator Level 3 Registration Starts from May 3
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 8th that it plans to conduct the 'Technology Credit Evaluator Qualification Examination,' which has been implemented since 2016 to train specialized personnel in technology finance, a total of three times this year.
The first exam this year will be for the Technology Credit Evaluator Level 3 and will be held on May 29 in the Seoul and Busan areas. Applications can be submitted online through the Technology Credit Evaluator Qualification Examination website from May 3 to May 17, and successful candidates will be announced on June 14. A Technology Credit Evaluator is a professional appraiser who conducts technology evaluations of intangible assets such as specialized technologies or intellectual property held by companies, as well as credit evaluations of overall credit and financial status, and calculates these into grades or amounts. Demand is continuously increasing mainly among banks, and it is expected to have a positive impact when hiring new employees according to plans to expand internal personnel in technology finance within the financial sector.
Since Kibo first introduced the Technology Credit Evaluator exam in 2016, it has produced 46 Level 1, 809 Level 2, and 3,370 Level 3 Technology Credit Evaluators. Since 2017, it has established and operated a training course to cultivate practical technology finance specialists. Director Lee Jong-bae of Kibo stated, "As a first mover in technology finance, Kibo has been operating the Technology Credit Evaluator qualification system to expand the base of technology finance," adding, "We will continue to prepare various support measures to lead the revitalization of technology finance."
