To this end, the Office of Education developed the career and academic plan form for the first time nationwide in 2019, and after revisions and improvements, produced this guide.
"2021 Bitgoeul Dream and Career" consists of seven parts: ▲ Guide on how to use "Bitgoeul Dream and Career" ▲ Knowing Myself ▲ Career Exploration ▲ Major Exploration ▲ Academic Planning ▲ Course Selection ▲ Self-reflection.
Through this, students can receive help with career setting, course selection, individual curriculum design, and recording and reflecting on their learning process.
It also provides essential information related to careers and occupations, such as department information, major career guides, job information, and course selection guides.
The Office of Education plans to upload this guide on its website so that the "Curriculum Completion Guidance Team" formed within general high schools can utilize it in various ways.
Baek Gi-sang, Director of Secondary Education at the Office of Education, said, "In the high school credit system and student-tailored curriculum operation system, it is important to foster active and self-directed learners through course selection based on career and aptitude," adding, "We will continue to conduct teacher training and consulting by topic and target to support the use of career and academic planning guides by the 'Curriculum Completion Guidance Team' in general high schools and the organization and operation of student-tailored curricula."
